Can I cancel or move my container booking?

Yes. But we need at least 7 days’ notice to move or cancel a container. Last minute cancellations can incur charges of up to £500.00. This cost will be charged back to you.

What is the difference between seaway express and original bills of lading?

The Sea Waybill is a simple, non-negotiable transport document. Compared to the original Bill of Lading, no original document is needed for cargo delivery. It does not have to be printed and is sufficient in electronic form to fulfil its functions.

Will I receive an arrival notice?

Intamarque are not responsible for sending an arrival notice. An arrival notice is sent directly from the shipping line to consignee/notify party.

What documents will I receive?

You will receive an email from logistics once your order has loaded with the following information:

  • Commercial invoice
  • Packing list
  • DGN (if required)
  • Load Date
  • ETS
  • ETA
  • Container number
  • Seal Number
  • Draft Bill
  • Final Bill

Can my invoice be amended?

Intamarque cannot make any amendments to invoices or packing lists

Can the wording Dangerous goods be removed from my Bill Lading and Packing List?

Dangerous goods must show on the Bill of Lading and Packing list – this cannot be removed.

How long do I have to approve my draft bill?

You have 48 hours to approve your draft. After this an amendment fee of £60 may be charged back to you. Please approve your draft bill at your earliest convenience to avoid any charges or delays.

How long will it take for my Final bill to arrive?

Final bills can only be issued once the ship has sailed and payment has been made. Please allow 96 hours for sea way express bills to be issued and 7-10 working days for originals to reach you.

Can I remove intamarque paperwork from my container?

Yes. Please make your sales representative aware of any special requirements before placing your order. We cannot guarantee we will meet these if we aren’t given sufficient time to put these in place. Once your order has been picked and stacked it is very difficult to make amendments to it.

Can I track my container?

Yes. Our logistics team will send across a container number. This can be used to track your container.

Can I ship less than a container load?

Yes we can provide LCL shipping. Please speak to your sales representative fore more information.

Can I add extra free time at port to my shipment?

Yes. If you require more free time, then is stated below please advise your sales representative. Please be aware this will need to be added at the time the booking is made. We cannot add additional days once the booking has been confirmed. Please note there may be a charge for this. Alternatively free days can be added at port for a charge.

Can my company be shown as the shipper on my bill of lading?

No. Intamarque must show as the shipper on the bill of lading – this cannot be amended.

Can the consignee address be different to the destination port?

No. The consignee address must match the destination port, I.e., if the container is going to New York the consignee address must also be in New York.

How long will my shipment take?

Below is a guideline of the transit time. If the port, you require is not on the below please contact your sales representative.

Yes. Please speak to your sales representative. A copy of the insurance policy will be sent to you with confirmation of your freight quote.
