Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

At Intamarque, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical behaviour in our business practices and supply chains. We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in any form and are dedicated to ensuring transparency in how we conduct our operations.

Our Business

Intamarque is a leading B2B wholesaler specialising in FMCG brands. We work with suppliers and partners across the UK and internationally to provide high-quality products to our customers. Our commitment to ethical trading underpins every aspect of our business.

Our Policies

We are committed to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery does not take place within our operations or supply chains. Our policies include:

  • Supplier Code of Conduct: All suppliers must adhere to ethical standards, including the prohibition of forced labour, child labour, and unsafe working conditions.
  • Whistleblowing Policy: Employees and partners are encouraged to report any concerns about unethical behaviour or practices.
  • Due Diligence Processes: We conduct regular assessments of suppliers to identify and mitigate risks of modern slavery.

Risk Assessment and Management

We recognise that some regions and sectors may pose a higher risk of modern slavery. To address this:

  • We assess the risks associated with our suppliers and prioritise audits for those operating in high-risk areas.
  • We ensure that suppliers meet our ethical trading standards as part of our procurement process.

Our Effectiveness in Combating Slavery and Human Trafficking

To measure our effectiveness in ensuring slavery and human trafficking do not take place in any part of our business or supply chains, we use the following key performance indicators (KPIs):

  • Employee Records: Ensuring all employees have the right to work in the UK and maintaining accurate records of their status.
  • Supplier Compliance: Maintaining records that suppliers have certified compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct.

Modern slavery is a key agenda item for our Board of Directors. Regular discussions take place to identify areas in our supply chain that may be at higher risk, assess current measures, and determine any further practical steps needed to mitigate risks. The Board also ensures that all necessary processes are in place to facilitate appropriate action when required.

Looking Ahead

We are committed to continuously improving our practices to combat modern slavery. Over the next year, we plan to:

  • Enhance supplier audits and improve risk assessment criteria.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to share best practices.
  • Further engage our supply chain in discussions around ethical practices.

Approval
